Default DX7 as opposed to DX6i

It seems like alot of guys feel the DX6i is the best upgrade to most of the SR line. I would think the DX7 would be a better choice at this point. Enlighten me if I'm wrong.

Thanks

Yes, if you can afford it the DX7 is a better radio.

If you plan to get more heli's in the future, the DX7 is a radio that you can grow in to. It can fly a nitro with governor, has a nicer feel than the DX6 and programming is relatively easy.
It is also one of the standards, so there is a ton of support. It can be seen in a few set-up videos of some very well known heli suppliers.

You can visit Horizon Hobby's web pages and do a side-by-side comparison

+1 to what others have said

When I get back from Cuba i will start saving my pennies. And on a different note my buddy who works at Air Canada thinks I should have no trouble getting my MCX2 and MSR to Cuba and back. So if I can shoehorn them and my 4 port charger into my MCX box they are making the trip to Cuba. I'm still kind of worried about Cuban customs on the way home though.
