Default Hobbyking just released DFC head!

Nice - an exact Align DFC head copy for only $23.50!

Now if they only had it in the USA Warehouse.... hurry up HK!!

Love the turnbuckles on the DFC arms too...

That way, you arent caught in between degrees...

Align needs to copy the copiers...

That means you have to wait a long time for shipping. I've read that if you want it in a reasonable amount of time you need to select EMS shipping option (more expensive)

Therefore it would be best to order multiple things at once from the overseas warehouse

(suchs as batteries and the YEP45, SERVOS and various 450 parts or FULL KIT since you're already paying for the shipping)

Interesting, thanks for posting that. It even includes the swashplate. Time will tell how the quality is. But it could provide an inexpensive way to try DFC.

I'm curious about it (just have the FBL head), but I'll probably wait until I need to replace the head before I'd change. If I had to choose where to put my upgrade $ at the moment, I'd probably stretch, before going DFC.

I get lost with all of the 450 variants ( v1, v2, se, sport, pro, etc...)

Will this work with all of them? I have a EXI frame and flybar head, with align electronics.

About 2 weeks to the GTA from the International Warehouse.

I'm usually about 2 weeks with the 'registered intenational' $3 service, or sometimes closer to 3 weeks with the $2 standard international.

I usually go for the standard since I have to go to the postal outlet and sign for the 'registered' ones and the standard just show up in my mailbox.

can this be fitted to the hk450 v2? i like this one as it has even fewer parts than even a normal fbl head.

The clone has (( THRUST BEARINGS)) !!
Does the Align DFC head has those ? Anyone Know ??

They should have used Delrin on the control arms to absorb
vibration ; would have bin Much stronger with No weight penalty !!

Everything I've read says the align unit does NOT include thrust bearings, feathering shaft, or swashplate. This hk unit does.

The align DFC head is just an upgrade, not a full kit.Unless you go with the actual 3G FBL kit.
I bought the DFC for maybe future upgrade on my F3C V2.Below is a pic of all you get when you buy the align DFC head upgrade.

Sorry. I thought the question was asking if the head contained thrust bearings not if the upgrade came with them. My kit was a dfc so i don't know anything about the upgrade.

Can anyone confirm parts interchangeability on these heads with the original Align head? Does it use the SE V2 feathering shaft?

You just adjust it to have no play (up and down), good thing is that it uses that kind of main gear

Ended up finding replacement parts, figured I'd post up here since this is where a google search leads to:

Feathering Shaft - HK PRODUCT ID: GT450pro-143 - GT450PRO Feathering Shaft (51x4mm) 2pcs
Main Shaft - HK PRODUCT ID: 155000125 - HK-450 PRO Flybarless DFC Main Shaft (110x5mm)
Control Arms - HK PRODUCT ID: 9155000268-0 - Assault 450L/450DFC TT & Belt Flybarless 3D Helicopter Control Arm (2pcs)

It also appears the head is nearly identical to the Align model H45162 though I can't confirm the parts are 100% interchangeable.
