Default Changing Mode on DX9

Just bought DX9 in Boxing day sale, I fly Mode 1 which is becoming less popular in UK so not many shops stock Mode 1 (bought mode 2) . Anyway spent a happy hour changing mode on transmitter. Big shock Plastic aerial which is just a cover has to come off to open case.
The coax is very short and does not stick very far up the cover. Any body else changed mode ???

The wavelength at 2.4 GHz doesn't warrant a longer antenna.

I agree and understand the length of the aerial is a function of the frequency. But they have made the plastic bit longer than they needed to, any idea's

My guess is that they made it that long for balance reasons, i.e. so they didn't have to redesign the location of the strap loop.

Bought my Mode 2 DX9 and changed it to mode 1 as did two more of our club members.

Not a big deal and works fantastic.

I'm handicapped. I use mode 3. I bought a DX9 with the intent of changing the mode 2 that it came with to mode 3.
The manual is way too confusing.
I looked on line for a video Telling how it's done
I did find a video showing how to change a DX8 from mode 1 into mode 2.

Any help? Thanks

The only difference between Mode 3 and Mode 2 is the position of the rudder and ailerons. The throttle is on the left stick in both cases. Should be very simple to reassign the R and A channels. You don't have to do anything to the sticks themselves.

Sorry Soarmax, in a mode 3 the throttle and rudder are on the right.

I'll make a different post.
