Default Stinger 30 Head Upgrade

Has anyone tried a metal head upgrade on a stinger 30 yet? After trying a bit of flying in the wind today and a collision with a wood pile, I found that no one stocks the parts I need. However, there are Raptor 30 V2 parts everywhere around me, so I would like to change the head to a raptor version, but want some advice before I do.

might pay to be a little more specific on exactly what advise it is your looking for, as the Raptor head should fit without issues as this is just a Raptor clone after all said and done.
Other option, try out the raptor thread in here (https://www.helifreak.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18).

While the Stinger is basically a clone of the raptor, The head is completely different and almost none of the parts are interchangeable.
However if you were to replace everything above the swash then you could put a Raptor head on there. The one mod that you will need to make is that the Stinger uses a 4mm Jesus bolt and the raptor uses a 3mm. you will have to drill out the head for the bigger bolt.

I appreciate the advice. I went ahead and ordered the Mavrikk all metal head, so I should be able to get spare parts for my many mishaps. I believe that the kit comes with a 3mm jesus bolt hole, so I should be able to use standard raptor main shafts. Thanks again.

With the 30 the 3mm bolt should not be a problem.
With my Rap 50 I was breaking 3mm Jesus bolts all of the time.
My Rap 50 has been converted to 4mm for BOTH cross bolts on the main shaft. Even on my Stinger I have converted the lower bolt to 4mm.
I have never broke a 4mm jesus bolt on a 50.

Just include the 3mm Jesus bolt in your prefilght checks, usually the head side of the bolt will break first, You will find it by giving the bolt a gentile twist with a wrench, if it moves, replace it. Carry spares. It is a 1 minute field repair.
