Default New 550e v2 build question

I just ordered my new Heli last night and i have a couple questions for the build.

Battery connectors? I have EC3's now on my 450. Can I stay with these on the 550 or should I get the EC5's...or something else?

Satellite? Does the kit come with one? I forget. I don't think so, right? Do they sell just a satellite without the Reciever? I have the AR8000 which I wanna use because I also wanna set up the Telemetry. If I have the receiver and a satellite set up does that count as two Sats?

Thanks!

EC5's for this size heli.

No SAT's or RX with the kit.

Yes.

You can use the AR8000 with it's one SAT that it comes with, or you can use two SAT's directly connected to the 3GX, and use the TM1000, but using SAT's only you won't have the RX signal loss feedback.

Ok, so I really don't need the receiver if I use 2 SAT's into the 3gx. I can still use Telemetry?

I just went on to order the SAT's, but everyone is sold out. Readyheli has the JR DSMX SAT but it says that it's Spektrum compatible. Can I use these?

JR sats will work fine, yeah. As to whether you get telemetry? I don't think you can without that 8000 receiver. At least that's what I remember reading.

Try experiencerc.com They had them in stock earlier when i looked. I have been buying quite a bit from them lately and they have great! Highly recommended!

Try this as well. These are DSMX receivers. They work with the DX7 which is DSM2.

I use telemetry on three birds all with Sat. Rx. But as 1004ron mentioned, you don't get the stats of frame lost and hold. All you have to do is bind the telemetry unit together when you bind the sat Rx.

Ok. I'm gonna give it a try with the receiver/Sat/Telemetey. I didn't do it on the 450 because of the size and lack of space, but I think I'll have more room to work with in the 550.
