Default Leap 3d quad

Just received my new toy the other day. This thing is great, tons of power and very stable when in stab mode. The lights are bright and held my gopro with ease. Please enjoy. I'm using my dx8 with one sat for now.

leap 3d quad fight 3 (3 min 45 sec)

leap 3d flight 4 (3 min 59 sec)

leap 3d quad fpv 1 (3 min 31 sec)

Looks pretty good.

I don't really see reversing quads as much fun as CP helis... a bit slow in comparison.

I think multirotor in general is great for orientation training for helis and these reversible types will help with inverted flying for sure.

I might get one just for practicing inverted loops, circuits etc Less fear of trashing a nice heli makes it much easier to concentrate :-)

I am loving mine. Tons of power on 4s. Flies super smooth and flips very tight. It is very stable in all flight modes.

You need satellites. There's two ports for sats. Either that or sbus.

Default Control board button

Does anyone know what the button on the flight controller does? Mine has quite a bit of drift in attitude mode and has an occasional wobble when quickly increasing throttle. Any idea what could be causing those? Is it ok to use subtrim for the drift?

I didn't know there was a button. I was also wondering about trim, but if I put the lipo perfect it does perfect leveling. I need some low profile landing gear and some higher ones that will clear my go pro. I already put some rubber bumpers on the bottom from old 450 landing gear rubbers.

Default pretty cool

Looks pretty cool for a pre-built ready to fly Quad. I can see if anyone is into stunt flying this would be One to put on the top of the list. I also think it would be pretty cool to fly it with FPV ,

I have one on the way! Can't wait to try it! I plan on flying it with 4S 2200 and DX8.

What kind of flight times are you guys getting? Also, does it come with extra props or should I order more right now?

How come I'm not hearing more about this thing, no one buying it?

I love it. Even compared to my helis. Just a bit different. I fly 3.5 minutes. On 3s 2200. Yes buy extra props if you plan on wrecking. I went with red and white set up, just like the lights. I want to wrap the legs in some bright shrink tubing. And more lights

Default Backyard fun

ok i wanted to have the go pro on the bottom of quad to not have the props in the pic. i already had a gopro mount on the top of canopy so i decide i would invert the canopy and have the cam on the bottom , problem solved. then i would take off from bucket because it has not landing gear. then i could land in bucket because it has self leveling. welll that hasnt been perfect. the bailout works perfect but sometimes when i go from 3d to sl mode. it drifts right some. so when it was time to land i hit sl. and it stared acting up to the right so the controls in that mode fight the sl and just make it twichy when trying to do slight movements. and remember im tryin g to land in a bucket lol. and my towel flew away on takeoff so didnt want to sctrach gopro. after that fails i decide to just grab it but the damn thing was still going right . when i take it out of sl it calms right down and i grab it . ahhhhh. please enjoy

not twichy
when i give a command (aileron or elevator) the stop is not crisp ... it wobble for a moment
like a fbl helicopter when has gain too high on the cyclic

I also have the invertix and it is much more crisp than my leap 3d... maybe is just my unit
anyway, i dont know how i can fix it as there is no way to change the gains on the leap software :-(

Default Wobble

Mine also has a wobble that seems like a gain issue. Mine occurs when increasing throttle. It experiences a quick high frequency wobble then smooths out.

How is the FC mounted?

...Stack an extra piece of gyro tape?
...Add rubber orings to the mount?

The pictures show the power distrubution board very close to the flight controller. PD boards can play heck on gyro's and compasses especially when your punching the throttle or drawing a lot of power. If it was high gains you should see it from any direction you pitched or rolled.
