Default Bottom J-bolt?

The bottom jesus bolt that tightens the main gear to the shaft has a lot of play due to the hole in the mainshaft being to big. in fact the head/shaft can move about 5 deg either way.

Has anybody seen this before or have a fix?

Haven't noticed it.
But if so, it's not a problem imho.
It will always rest in one direction.

I've certainly noticed it too. I don't think it's a particular problem either, and I have not noted any yielding of the bolt in well over 100 flights.

Don't over tighten that bolt. It can warp the one way housing and the sleeve causing premature one way failure if the bolt is really cranked down. The bolt should only be snugged, and the same with the grub screws in that assembly.

I know about over tightening it, was asking about the play between shaft and OWB assembly due to the hole in the shaft being to big.

Mine has the exact same thing. It has done it from the very begening. I have 128 flights on it so far and it still works great.

I gathered that, Rob had already answered the question. I was just making sure you knew about the tightness too. Some people try to crank down on those fasteners when they realize there is play and they don't know it is normal.

Indeed. A fair point to make. My one way used to bind up on my T-Rex 600N (I used to fly with fuel and flybars...hahahahah) if I overtightened that lower J-bolt. We learn something from every model.

Hey Vinger - will be interesting to hear your flight report and comparisons between the 7HV and Goblin 700.
