Default Brain Gov Settings?

Hi,

On the governor setup tab, what should I put for the gear ratio, sensing divisor and speed1/speed2? What's the range of normal head speeds? 2600-3500?

Where should I start out?

Thank you!

Also, my blades seem to be spinning the wrong way. They spin counter clockwise. When I switch two of the motor wires the motor spins, but then does not spin the blades.

Do I have something backwards?

This means you have the pinion with the OWB (One Way Bearing) put the wrong way, put it back on the other way up.
As for the gov setup, what sensor, ESC and motor are you using ? the settings depend on that.

Thanks! I figured something like that. Got that worked out now.

I've got the hobbywing rpm, yge 60, and scorpion 6s. All stock units that ship with the 6s kit except the rpm meter...that was ordered separate. It's the 6s stretched version.

Since this is a new kit, then you don't even need the hobbywing rpm sensor at all as the YGE60 in the latest kits has an external phase output.
You need this card : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ming_Card.html (or the 5 times more expensive YGE card) to use it though. The card also makes it much easier to setup the YGE.
Check out this thread for how to set the YGE up for external governor : https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=485879

Thanks for the info! I'd like to run the brain gov though. Can you give me some pointers of where to start from that angle?

You'll use the brain gov, but use the rpm output from the yge rather than the hobby wing sensor. Default gov setting worked for me. If I tried anything like increasing the gain, etc, I got oscillations and overspeeding. I have the exact setup you have.

Ok cool...where do I plug it in? Do I need a conversion cord to plug it into the gov spot?
