Help? I have a new Kontronik Jive 80 LV, and I'm trying to program the mode. I'm doing as Mel in the video up to the point when I remove the little jumper. Instead of getting the three little beeps in the reverse order, I get a cacophony of sounds. The sounds are much louder, and they don't swing at all.

It's possible that the motor is fried. Could that cause this sound? I recently fried a CC ICE 75, the story is in Trex 500 pictures thread at the moment.

Do you have any other motor to try?

Yes, it is the motor producing the actual sound, so it could be the motor causing it for sure.

Yes, the motor is bad. I tried with another motor and it works like in your video. Thanks.

Edit: I tried the same motor with a 3S battery as suggested, and it produced the same sounds, although they were not as loud.

The motor is actually ok. I've been doing some mistakes here. Live and learn.

- When starting to configure Kontronik's mode, use a fully charged lipo.

- Remember that when using Spektrum receivers blinking LEDs mean that you should try again.

Now I have two 500M's for one heli.

Sure? I have the same problem, but I have a fully charged lipo and no blinking leds.

I got those loud error sounds too. What happened is that I reversed the throttle channel as usual in my Futaba radio before programming the Jive. This is necessary for most ESC brands, but it turns out Kontronik doesn't need it. Once I set the throttle direction back to normal, removing the jumper gave the confirmation beeps and it programmed fine.

My Jive 80HV did the same thing on 10s lipo. I tried it with 12s and 8s and it was fine and was able to program. For some reason it doesn't seem to like 10s for programming. It works fine otherwise, but I'm sending mine back to be checked at the end of this years flying season.

I always use 3-5 cell for programming, simply because if something goes wrong for some reason, it wont kill you in a hot spoolup.

(a friend had a hot spoolup indoor with a .90 sized, not Jive though, it almost went lethal)

When I used my DX7, I had 83/83 for my end points. Now I use a Futaba 8FG and my endpoints are 78/78.

Remember that endpoints reset when you do a Mode 1, so if you switched from spektrum ->futaba without doing a reset the ATV might differ.

Guys? Anyone?

After pressing play, it turns black and says "This Video is Private"?

Those videos are gone.
I suggest emailing info@kontronik.com or posting here on Kontronik forum.

Thanks Fredrik!

By the way, can you point me to a MiniV Bar setup video. I'm basically looking for a video that describes setting up and configuring a new model with the MiniV..

Thanks,
Raz
