Your theory is just fine, right up to the point where it's some innocent bystander that gets the big chop. I can equate this to driving under the influence, your statement would be great if the drunk drivers of the world only killed themselves. The problem is, too often it's someone else that pays the price. No one's talking about policing the world here, it's all about common sense. Or the lack thereof.

This is so stupid I'm not even going to comment on it. Probably the same thought process some people use to climb into their car and go driving after drinking. This is just irresponsible and plain stupid. Some never grow up.

But as a reasonable level, if you not supposed to drive, then dont fly RC either (be it alcohol or medication).
It's lightweight, seriously overpowered machinery that flies through the air faster than most places allow you to drive.

I sometimes have mild shakes when spooling up the 450 (too much caffeine, not enough sugar), then I just spool it down and play with the nano. I often go fly on the way home from work so sometimes caffeine and stress levels are too high and sugar levels too low.
I made a rule for myself only to fly the 450 after I've eaten and not had coffee for hours.

It's depressing having to storage-charge all the batteries because I wasn't fit enough to fly them. I do power my chargers with the 3S LiPos though, charging up the nano with it is great.

Maybe a few drinks or tokes is what you need to loose the shakes?

I allways fly after drinking.
But i extremly rarely drink alcohol. Mostly water/tea/coffee

If a drunk would fly, i would seek shelter in the car at least.

Nah, I just get tired and slow with alcohol. Slow reflexes is just not what I want when operating a flying lawnmower. :-) The 450 is also getting less and less intimidating and I practice a lot with the micro helis.

This hobby is great for focusing.

I fly Sundays mostly because that's my day off & I enjoy a few beers during the day. Nobody is going to stop me as long as I am under the legal limit. There is no difference in safety according to the Medical Governor General.

Some people need a few beers or other things in order to get passed the fear of crashing. You should always be cautious not to fly into your self or others.. but if your not getting s**t faced from those few beers then I don't see the big deal

In fact I would say i'm more dangerous with out my form of drinking, although my "drinking" isnt a liquid.. you know what I mean..

Comparing domestic beer with Spam is an insult to Spam. For what it is (canned processed meat) Spam isn't bad. Domestic beer is just plain bad.

Nothing wrong with cheap beer. Hell we used to get 30 packs of natty lights for $12.
