Drift in Tic Tocs
Hello All
I am wondering if there is anything else I can adjust in my v-bar to make it fly better. In tic tocks the heli wants to drift hard on the negitive part of the tic tock to the left. I understand that this happens naturally as it depends which way the blades spin... but its way way more than any other heli I own...... The amount of correction required is twice as much as my other helis. Runing Kontronic 80HV 6s with 550mm blades and Thunderpower 65c 4400mah batts. Stock 610 stock 600mx motor. Ive included my idel1 bank and idel 2 bank setup. |

Sensor alignment, or headphasing is most common.
also check swash level at min/max. |

Thanks Mr Mel,
My sensor is aligned perfectly and the swash is almost level top and bottom. How do you adjust phasing? From what I can remember the heli flips straight.....And flys pretty good other wise. Im running the Align DFC head Peter |

If the head doesn't have adjustable phasing (a separate swash driver) then you can "rotate" the swash during the setup. But without adjustable phasing I wouldn't think it was a phasing issue. They are usually a result of the swash driver being off just a little.

I had a tail drift (to the left) in tic tocs but i think your talking about the head.
Have you tried turning up the head gain? |

I changed the P & I gains because at the time there was no improvement in changing the main gain. I think i put them both to 75 but it may not be that now; i will have to download the vbr. I am still using the 90mm Align tail blades.
The tail would slowly drift clockwise which was very annoying. My drift was noticeable with the tail pointing to the ground while looking at the head in a tic toc. I knew i had commented on it before. Have a look at this post but it seems vibration was his issue & lowering the gain fixed it. Darn helis, no two setups are the same. https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=364801 |
