Ok I tried looking for YouTube videos and searched google but everything I found didn't help much so I'm hoping someone can help here.

I'm trying to charge and or balance my nano cpx batteries on my thunder ac680. My first problem is I keep getting "connection break" on the screen. I've checked all connections over and over and plugged and unplugged them several times. Pretty soon HULK SMASH...

Next when I get that fixed could someone tell me the rates for charging and balancing?
My lectron batteries are 3.7 180 mah 45c with a 2c charge rate.
So would I charge them at .3amp 3.7 v?
And so far my balance screen will only go as low as 7.4v @ 2s why will it not allow me to balance at 3.7? This is driving me crazy....this manual sucks.
I don't understand this balance screen...

Edit: I've figured out the connection break. Apparently I have to charge 3 at the same time with this adapter.

You do NOT use balance charge on a 3.7v battery...there is only one cell so it's auto-balanced

Use Lipo charge 1S 3.7v @ .2 per battery

So if I'm charging 3 do I increase voltage?

So I could charge at .8 @ 11.1 volts?

is that a series charging cable? it kinda looks like it from the photo (has a balance tap).
Easier to answer questions once we determine if that is parallel or series.

I had a series one like that, so I cut it apart and made it parallel

3.7v batteries are charged at 3.7v...

To charge more than one, add more amps

Like I said...3.7v @ .2 per battery

The slower you charge, the longer the battery will last

And you have a history of beating your batteries to death so heed well or spend $$

It's series I think, so you charge it like a single 3S battery.

And if it's series, it wont work if only one or two cells are plugged in. (now you know why I made mine parallel).

Ok, i see your reply. Charge it like a 3cell battery, with 540mah rate = 1C... Is that right????? (180mah X3)

Look up how to series charge. I can't remember if you add the mah or not...

It's a series cable, not parallel.

Charge as Balance Charge, 3S. I'd use 0.2A, that would be just a touch over 1C (0.2A/0.18Ah= 1.1C).

If you choose to charge them faster, you can, I'd do 0.3 or 0.4A. 0.4A would be 2.2C. But slower is better (0.2A).

Series cables are OK, but have their drawbacks, like only being able to charge 3 at a time. A parallel cable in your next parts order might make things simpler.

So charge at .6 @ 11.1?
Is this the best way to charge for these batteries? I was under the impression I should be balancing them with all 3 connected. The insert with the batteries tells to balance before use that's why I'm so confused.

LOL...

Makes no sense to even consider a series cable to charge 1S batteries, but oh well...

Other threads go on and on about different 12v to 120v inverters to power AC/DC chargers in a car while driving down the highway drinking coffee with one hand and texting with the other...and looking for a place to stop and fly

No wonder chargers have fail-safe features built into them

But I do agree...your next purchase really should be a parallel charging board or harness

This one will not only do your nano's, but will do mCPX batteries too if you decide to step up

I'm still supper confused because it won't let me charge at 3.7 volts only 11.1

Plus all the different replies have me confused a little to. It seems once I figure it out the charger won't let me do it.

Would charging at .2 amp and 11.1 volts be ok or does it have to be 3.7? I thought this was the correct cable for this but obviously I was wrong....

Couldn't I just not plug in the balancer cable? That would pretty much be the same as a parallel cable right?

No, you have a series board...

It needs 11.1v so it can separate into 3 - 3.7v taps
