He's referring to the things like the main drive belt which needs to be replaced very frequently unlike the main gear on most helis.

They recommend replacing them to be on the sure side, but I have 260 flights on my Goblin now, still running the original belt, links and everything. From my first hand experience, the Goblin seems to require very very little maintenance at all. It's a very cheap 700 to keep in the air from my experience

Only thing that has been replacing is the aluminum pinion, I'm currently on my third pinion. But this issue will be resolved with the new steel pinion hopefully, aside from that the Goblin has been absoluttely amazing. Durable as hell, requireing very little service, robust and crashes well. I have been very happy with mine, and I cant wait for the 500 to come. None of my other helicopters as seen any actions since I got the Goblin.

You guys are funny! The goblin doesn't require any more maintenance than any other heli out there. SAB recommends you change some parts after 100 flights, but really that's just to cover their own asses. After the initial bugs were worked out(like with ALL new airframes) the Goblin has turned into a nice reliable heli which appears to have some great longevity. I know mine isn't showing any wear on ANY parts.
It also does not "crave" high headspeeds more than any other airframe. I'm not sure why anyone would think that? It's around the same weight as most other e700's and runs the same blade size. I can tell you that my Goblin performs every bit as well at 2000rpm as my 7hv and eAurora did before it. I really get a kick out of all the negativity towards the Goblin on the forums. I don't think any airframe has been under more scrutiny at release in the history of our hobby.
