Synergy Customer Support
While at the Los Angeles Fun Fly I asked Jason Krause to take a look at the setup for my N9. Jason jumped right in and assessed the setup, provided recommendations and loaded his N9 program from his 12Z into my 12Z. Went to test fly the model and the crown gear stripped. Jason provided me with another gear and flew it again with the same results. Again, I replaced the gear and Jason mentioned that there could be a slight possibility that the Bevel gear could be bad. A fellow flyer attending the event pulled his Bevel gear from his N9 kit and gave it to me.
Todd Bennett walked over to take a look at the installation. While looking at the finished assembly he noted that the tail rotor push rod is way to long. The root causality for the crown gear failures was now identified. The owner/assembler did not push the transmission output assembly all the way into the tail boom and did not have the tail boom properly seated against the Main Boom Clamps. I would like to thank Todd and Jason for providing excellent customer support for their product. More importantly, they continued to work the problem until the root causality was determined and it was at no cost to the Customer even though I was at fault. Additionally, I’d like to thank the Miataguy for giving me his parts to use. One last thing, after two crown gears were damaged due to incorrect assembly by me, a couple of people stopped by stated, I hear the N9 has bad crown gears. This showed me how quickly people heard of the failures but didn’t hear what caused the failure. Again, the Synergy product/parts did not fail, nor were they faulty; it was caused by improper assembly which was the fault of this writer. If you have any questions relating to this incident, feel free to PM me about it. Regards,

You know Chuck; Most folks would not admit to doing something wrong and would simply blame the manufacturer. Your statement says a great deal about your character!!
