The "right" parts?? Pretty open.....

What is your budget?? Have you looked around??

I can tell you how I have mine setup...and what I think you should stick on it. BUT....what works for me might not work for you.

Is this your first heli?

He said for looking for parts for HIS "t-rex 450 se v2" can we assume that's what he owns and is not looking for an entire kit.

So you'd have him buy an heli than runs a plastic head and tail as replacement parts for a v2? LOL why not just recommend the parts he needs?

+1

Use the Align wood blades initially too.....it'll save a lot of $$$$s.

I personnally like Futaba 7c for the radio gear.

If you can, don't skimp on the electronics. Look on HF and RR classifieds or ebay and you might get a good deal.

I HAVE and recommend:
Futaba 7C Tx and R617FS Rx
3* HS-65MG
GY401
S9257 w/ stepdown

+1 on using woodies to begin, but I have been using Align 3K since because of the noticably better performance

I recommend:
1. Hitec gyro Pro pack HG5000 gyro with 5065MG servos. (interactions, what are interactions?)
2. Two sets of extra lipos 3s 2200 20 or 25C
3. DX6i, is enough radio. with the included Rx
4. 1 hour daily sim practice until you get your directions sorted at least in hovering before your first flight. That alone is the best money saver.
5. Do all build related and 101 Bob's videos, all the info you'll need.
6. Redo no 4 in between flights.

just some pointers, that's what i did anyway.
