Dang, Ah Clem, I will need group councelling all winter to get over the beating you gave me. Hahhahah! I have not had issues with a warm ESC since going down in kV with the Align 700MX-510 with the ESC mounted in the original tray position under the canopy. I also got better pinion mesh with a 13t over the originally stock 12t. I think mine is what it needs to be for me. I will be interested to see how El Brute pans out. Sounds like it might actually be around low 500's in kV. I hope so, anyway. My wires are reasonable in length with the Vbar back on the gyro tray. I fabricated a mount for my Vbar command unit positioning it right above the sensor. If I were to do another, I think I'd make use of the new 6HV gyro tray and make some risers to position it similarly. I have one for my 6HV which I've not mounted yet...it's almost perfect size for the Vbar unit. The slots on each side make for a convenient mount point for the upper tray.

I think this build is back on. I backed away from it for a little while, backed away from all of it for a little while due to some radio concerns but Ive gotten the fire back and its steadily growing.

This is the fastest mock up Ive ever done. This thing goes together so fast and easy I barely had to use the instructions. it does help when eveything you need is in the box of course. Minus the KBDD tail blades, I added those. The head does come loaded with KBDD dampers though.
