Woody, as far as the floats, they fit REALLY tight on the carbon fiber tube I bought. I had a hard time getting them on. I used some rubbing alcohol as lubrication to get them on.
I suppose after some time they might loosen up and start to slip. If that happens I will just buy some new ones, or put a drop of glue on the ends.
I take off and land from asphalt so they are getting flat spots on the bottom, but that is no problem.

I didn't even notice that, how does he fly with them on backwards?

Twist the belt the other way. But what about 'designed in' prop/rotor wash?

even if you twist the belt they are still on backwards..they need to spin counterclockwise and leading edge wil be the fat side..the bird will stil fly with blades on backwards,,just not that good.

Actually if you flip the belt the other way, and put the blades in backwards, it works pretty good... but if you try to do any flying with it, you get tail problems. I flew a few flights like that before I figure out what the problem was. It may be possible to get it to work perfectly like that - but yeah, the Blade is designed to have the leading edge of the blade go up at the front, and down in the back, which is the opposite on the picture.

Hey Larry, this fuse came from Hobbyking,,i was buying some batts and i noticed they started selling canopies and fuselages. i saw this fuse for like $45,,so i said wow ill give it a try.its made by SHENZHEN KDS MODEL,.it is a little thinner than the name brand stuff but it was totally worth the money and i couldnt believe how well the 400 fit in there. its like this fuse was made for the 400 i didnt even have to build a batt tray i can put the batt on the bird like normal. so ya thats my 400 with Sonix Tail and Head.
this fuse came with good directions the tail fin was all put together allready and even came with skid stops..i was even surprised how good the magnets are holding on the front. well worth every penny.i didnt cut one thing on this build, the tail was def made for sonix,it screwed right in..

the 450 canopy they are selling for $7 is well worth it too..im amazed,,pretty good quality and a really good paint job.

Its good,,adding the fuse makes the bird so much bigger. But orientation was no problem. I'm happy with it.

I really like that color.
Do the blades show up as well in flight as in the picture?
Did you paint the underside of them too? About how wide and far apart are the stripes?

KBDD makes some florescent tail blades and paddles too that you might be interested in.

Thanks

Thanks Woody
The blades do show up as well in flight, I left the underside white for a bit more orientation help when its far away/under the tree line.
The stripes are an inch apart, and one inch wide.

I may have to check out those KBDD paddles/tail blades, that would add the las touch of color to it
