Standard set of recommended components for a 600N?
I have a trex 500 and now that I'm in an RC club with an AMA certified field, I am thinking of getting into nitro helis.
Is there a standard 600N build? Like, the most common tested servos, gryos, etc for mild 3D. Also, what would a full ready to flight 600N run, about $1000? I have a DX7 already. |

Unless you get one used, you're not going to hit that price point. The 600NSP will get you most of the way there for just a hair over $1000, but you still have to add receiver, servos, and gyro. The Align DS610 servos for cyclic are inexpensive and seem to be performing well for a lot of people. Align makes a DS620 for rudder, but if you want a rock-solid tail, you're probably better off with a JR 8900G or Futaba S9254 (or S9256 if you have a gyro to support it). As for gyro, I really liked the Spartan DS760 in mine.
