Default Fitting Align DS430m servos to a Trex 250

I just switched out the DS410's in my 250 for a spare set of 430's I had lying around. They're a little heavier, but I figured that at 280g flying, 250 was light enough that I could sacrifice the weight.

There are a couple of tricks to getting these fitted that I figured would be worth sharing.

Firstly, you will need to swap the ball links on your servo horns and swash. For the geometry to work on these servos you need to put the longer balls on the swash, and fit the short balls on the inside of the servo horn.

You may also find that the links rub against the servo, I used some Align 2x3.6x0.2mm washers inside the servo horn to add that little bit of clearance:

With those two tweaks these fit and fly great :-)

Nice one myxiplx.
I did try them on my 250 but gave them away due to clearance issues, I did not think to swap the ball links onto the swash plate.
I am just using the DS416M’s instead.
