Default Mini Protos appears down on power.

Hi all, I have a mini P on 3s which seems down on power. It has a brand new motor and 10 flight old TP 65C packs. I can barely get the blades to fart on 85% throttle. I have the stock pinion whatever that may be?

I have tried using the program card to get the right settings in for the gov etc.. and calibrating the throttle but I can't seem to get the power out of it.

I have seen a few boys with theirs and they are hammering around but mine just can do sustained aileron tic tocs but bogs down fairly easily. Pitch is 12, the belt is quite free running, mini vbar, YGE ESC with it's gov, the settings from the manual, 8FG.

I think I am doing the calibration wrong or gov setting wrong.

Anyone tell me the correct way to set the gov and calibrate the throttle? Before or after using the card?

Any help and suggestions welcome as at the moment it is a great big air sports/ lite 3D machine but I would like it to go hard.

I have re-read the manual of the program card carefully and found out how to calibrate the endpoints.

It was so easy

I am sure it will now solve my issues.

well I guess a way to check the throttle is to take the main and tail blades off spool it up to max power and the increase the atv for throttle and see if it goes up if it is calibrated right the motor rpm should not go higher that how I check to make sure I have max power on mine. and also I belive that 16 tooth is the stock pinion

I flew it today with the new calibration and found plenty of power @ 80% throttle. The only issue is the first battery was atleast 25% more power than the 2nd one. Both are TP 65C and were bought brand new together and the same cycles.

Are you not using the governor store feature?
If you have your endpoints set corectly now, program the gov store feature using the "weaker" pack.
Then the stronger pack will have no problem holding the same headspeed you are happy with from the weaker one.
This is the advantage of gov store vs using a regular gov like in a kontronic.
