Guys,

I have created some new motors for a future brand coming soon and Samples are here but I have yet to decide on Color for the Anodize..... I was thinking Red maybe Blue, what do you think?

How about a choice.. unless there an additional cost for more than one. If I were to choose one I would pick red.

Plus it would match the canopy and blades. lol

But really, white and chrome is a classy and elegant color combination.

I think the black looks pretty good! Will match the CF.... unless. Did you decide on a color for the rest of the aluminum parts on the Rush heli? I guess it would make sense to have them matching?

Question.... no built in fan?

My second choice is blue.... but a darker and richer blue, not the same as we commonly see in this hobby because IMHO, that bright blue just looks too toyish.

There is an internal fan But I cannot devise its design, it is new concept and cannot be seen from these photos

If anodized, my choices would be:

1) White (can you anodize with white?)

2) Silver / Chrome / Brushed

3) Red

4) Orange

5) Yellow

6) Black

Well.... technically, you don’t actually 'anodize' with a color at all (it’s a common misconception).

The process of anodizing thickens the natural oxide layer on the surface of the metal, it improves surface hardness and creates pores on the surface of the metal, this allows the metal to accept a dye... afterwards, and the surface MUST be sealed, unless the part is a direct contact part, in that case it probably would not be dyed at all and the pores would be used to help retain lubricant.

This is why you often see shiny metal parts (like KDE direct) that are 'anodized'... it’s not that its false advertising, it’s just sealed and not dyed.

So, to answer your question.... yes, it is possible to dye an anodized object white, or really any color you can dream up.

Nothing looks better with Chrome than Black. Black with bright silver trim on the motor will blend with everything!

I vote for Chrome/Brushed combo. I think it would look pretty sweet to contrast against CF side rails.
