Default New glow-wire solution by hextronik

Hi,

Just wanted to tell you there is a new alternative to the Align stuff and it's even cheaper! It's made by hextronik/hobbycity and plugs directly into a spare receiver channel, and you can even chain them to add more strings.

Strings themeselves are 1.3m long, right in the middle of the options we previously had with Align, and cost 2.85$ apiece...

It's there: http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=8219

I've not tested it yet but I already got their "lumifly ligthing system" (3 nav leds) and it's working very well (it's no rocket science either I must admit..heh) so I guess this new item should work ok too.

Night flying is becoming cheaper everyday!

Too cool. I might place an order. That's a cheap way to try out night flying.

My only free plug on my AR6100 is the batt plug. Do you know if we can plug it in there? If so, it's something I'm definitely adding to my night rig!!!

Tbh I don't know. But if it's done like in the lumifly nav leds (http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=6811) you can plug it in serial with any servo as it doesn't use the signal wire.

In my current setup it's wired like this: LIPO -> SportBEC -> Lumifly -> Throttle in Rx (very risky I must admit) but if I had longer wires I would have done it differently.

Better plug it before a servo or on the gyro gain or any free chan.
