I'm so happy that I only have to worry about grizzly bears and moose, or is that they have to worry about me?

So did you use the 550x or 750 Rush to take him down....

~EDIT~ I also notice your using the (hush, hush secret) invisible NextGen Tx too, what's it's range? lol....

Not enough power in the helis to defend myself, needed something with more 'boom', and its range is limited by the user.

'Nuff said, i could go on but this IS a heli thread, so will reserve projectile discussions for the 'other' forum on the main board...

BeamHangar,
I think in a purely aeronautical context, discussion of projectiles is an infinitely suitable one, however, maybe we will restrict the talk about 'fire'arms to the occasional 'cremation' (CC).
I would like to see some pictures of the grizzlies. Though, if it were me, understanding the not running away thing, I would hope to need a very, very long telephoto lens!
Surely, in a 'Putin'esc way we should get all sorts of over the top Russian wildlife. Tongue in cheek, however, most of this may just be criminal in nature.
I am rooting, 'barracking' as they say here in Australia, for some really good UK wildlife (seriously).

I had a mule deer munching about 50 to 60 feet away from me while I was flying this evening, when I landed she started to walk over to see what it was all about. She's on my property all the time, nice to have around, but I do get pissed when she eats my apple trees!!

And pictures of grizzlies are what you want, you don't want too see them with your own eyes, up close anyway, they bring a whole new world of pucker factor!!!!!

Crashcopterman,
I guess that, like our crocodiles at least over short distances, bears can run much, much faster than we can, especially over rough terrain.
We have a couple of very graceful eagles, I think, that fly high in formation over the edge of the Yarrambat airfield. The often fly in formation with the sailplanes, mimicking every movement that the gliders make, sometimes for several minutes, but are generally too high to get good pictures of.

God, 8.3 degrees centigrade and rainy at my local field at Yarrambat at the moment (3.10pm Saturday afternoon). That is sunny Melbourne for you. Typical, afternoon off, crap weather. Day off Monday - crap weather.
Show me some sunny pictures from around the world of your airstrips with local wildlife.
PS - did you have a lot of moose steaks, I hope, from the situation of the last picture?

A whole pile of moose steaks from that big bugger!!!!

A view from my deck on Canada Day, 28C. That's very warm for my part of the world!

Very nice view Crashcopterman! I am guessing that is a fire-pit rather than a well in the back garden. Good precision hovering strip out back there.
You look like you would get good 'big' skies out there from your back garden, especially on a summer's evening around the fire!
Do you get many critters in the back garden?
In the UK we used to get quite a few foxes.

Kangas thinking they are in charge!

That's very cool. One place I fly I get to see coyotes from time to time. Sometimes a big owl will come out and then various other rabbits and such.

mqowen, I imagine the coyotes are very timid, that's really cool, I'd love to see some pictures, but you'd have to set that up I guess. The owl, you'd probably have to take you're chances. The rabits, maybe they would have to take their chances with the owl!
Send some pictures, sounds great!
