Default NEW - Compass 6HV FBL Build Videos

OK sorry for the long delay all in doing any build videos but I needed a little break. Bought a new house, renovating an old house for rental, life, job etc.... It's all good though

So next up is the Compass 6HV Flybarless build vids. As is posted here in this forum John (HF user Mercuriell) also did a series of build vids on the 6HV flybarred heli a while back. As I always say, watch all you can if you need help. He may cover stuff I do not and visa versa so please check out his vids here:

https://www.helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=190183

Compass and Nankin sent me this like early December. I also have a Compass 3D+ to build so actually I will probably do these vids in parallel. Again sorry it has taken so long to get started but here we go!

Whats in the box!
VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - What's in the box! (62 Megs)

Sorry for the delay guys.... LIFE
So here we go.

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - Frames (39 Megs)

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - Servo Installation (38 Megs)

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - Main Gear and Main Shaft installation (33 Megs)

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - Servo and swash setup using Vbar (66 Megs)

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - FBL Head Assembly (70 Megs)

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - FBL Head Setup using the Vbar (36 Megs)

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - Motor installation and Pinion Adjustment (28 Megs)

In these next two videos I show a couple of mods I did. A pin oiler hole for the tail grip thrust bearings and pinning the tail case.

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - Tail Assembly Part 1 (70 Megs)

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - Tail Assembly Part 2 (43 Megs)

VIDEO -> Compass 6HV - Tail Servo and Tail Setup using the Vbar (41 Megs)

OK that does it for the building part. Next up will be electronics placement, final Vbar setup, and maiden flight. I am waiting on batteries and a BEC.

Bob

Great to see Bob - I'm sure you're gonna love this heli - it's a sweet flyer but a real pocket dynamo - been known to give the TDR a run for its money in speed trials!

I am using Align 610's. I decided not to go 8V setup and save the HV servos for the 3D+ build.

I have "some" done but work has been kicking my butt.

I have taken next week off for vacation and plan on completeling the entire thing next week and maybe even the 3D+ as well.

I'll throw in my thanks. Really enjoyed your videos when I built my Trex 500, Bob. It's a great flyer and your vids taught me an awful lot along the way.

My 6HV arrived a week ago but I've had relatives invading my home all week so I couldn't get to it. Of course I pulled it out of the box on two separate occasions and put the pieces together on the living room floor so everyone could see how big it was, but somehow that didn't get 'er built.

I'm glad to see you're taking this on. Thanks dude!
