Default Blade 400 spinning and un flyable.

I'm very new to helicopters and inherited a Blade 400 from a friend.

I've replaced two servo's, the speed control and the gyro. Everything works fine on the ground but when I try to take off the tail spins in one direction or the other. When I try to straighten it out with the rudder it just takes off in the other direction uncontrollably. When I advance the throttle the gyro light is solid, when I start using rudder input the light starts flashing. My friend installed and set up the Gyro but I don't know much about them so I don't want to just go and start adjusting the thing without knowing what's going on.

I'm having the same problem with mine. Just installed new Hitec servos but I have the stock gyro. The tail holds briefly during spool up bot as soon as I give any rudder input it spins like a top. I had to do some reversing when I installed the servos, any chance that's effecting it?

Probably need to check the direction on the gyro switch.

More details in some of the early post and setup information, but I've had that happen when swapping servos, etc.

I had my gyro switch wrong. Reversed it and everything was fine.

My problem actually ended up being improperly installed tail grips, but glad you got things working.
