"The Turnigy FBL100 is a feature packed micro 3D helicopter like no other!"
Except the MCPX they blatantly copied!!! hahaha I've used it's main gears on the MCPX - they work and are cheaper.

Just the servos, motor and boom would be worth it. The danger for HH is that cheap parts will start to come in.
Sorry I won't be reviewing because HK does not sell to people in Hong Kong even though they are based in Hong Kong. In fact, they have blocked their site to all Hong Kong users. I can only access it through a US proxy. |

Daryoon Registered User San Diego, CA Joined Dec 2010 1,877 Posts It's the same as the HiSky FBL 100 that's been out for a while. I looked at it before but could never get a confirmation whether it's Turnigy 9x (FlySky) compatible. I wish it is. The price for the HiSky FBL 100 was rather high so I could understand why it didn't become popular. Almost as much as the mCPX. This HobbyKing rebrand has a much more attractive price. But I personally won't pick it up unless it binds to the Turnigy 9x. I do have the frame in my possession. It has a square 2mm tail boom versus the round type employ by Blade mCPX. |

I see that Coredump has a thread "Understanding the MCPX Receiver Chip" here:
https://www.helifreak.com/showthread...427772&page=11. I don't understand any of it, but I wonder if its possible to take the receiver chip off of an mCP X board and put it on the Turnigy/HiSky one and make it Spektrum compatible? I wonder if that board might act more like a V1 as far as vibration sensitivity goes? That being said...I don't see the boards for sale anywhere. Pardon my naivete, but all of this electronics stuff is way over my head. And remember, there's no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people. |

New bird
This is the reason I don't think I'll pick it up. I have spectrum transmitters comming out of every hole, and I dabble in board mods, BL, and Fet upgrades. We have a few years of learning and info on the MCPx control boards.
If your a modder your gonna pick up MH frame, build your own tail and main shaft, upgrade the servos to the 1.9g (modded of course) and BL the crap out of your bird. This replaces every part except the main board and if we don't have parts or debug info on the board, we will be bugging Coredump and Rofey to check out the board and who knows when they can do that. I like the V1 board I'll stick with it and 130x myself soon. I like the canopy though maybe I'll build a carbon version of it.

I like it too. I'm not a fan of Chinese copyright infringement so I won't be buying the heli but... since the canopy is a different shape LOL

I assume this is your first CP heli with a 3-axis stabilization system. Just fly it. What happens is that for whatever reason the heli tilts a bit and the stab system tries to correct that, since it is an uncommanded movement. Since you force the heli down there, the change made by the stab system has no effect, so it gives even more input... and so on and so on. Vicious circle. Just tame it down as much as you can (prolly that stock radio has a "low D/R mode" which you can activate somehow) and fly it. Will not be easy...

Actually
I have several helicopters from micros to Align 550 and 700's. I am familiar with how a gyro performs, this one however does not perform at all. I was hoping to find someone with the same problem that they have already come up with the solution.
Thank you for you input. Paul |
