They really don't go on sale much. Your not just paying for a great pack, but also great customer service, and a good warranty that TP stands behind. I have both TP and cheap to mid range packs. Typically my packs give me 50-80 cycles even with the 80% rule and maintaining them well. Most of this has been with my 11.5lb. 700e running a scorp 4525 so I'll admit I'm hard on packs. My G6 5000 65c's are around 80 cycles now and still going strong. I'm not trying to push them, I'm just saying thus far my experience with them is that they are a superior product.

If you buy 10 of them at a time from TP you will get a discount.

Also, can anyone confirm the type of balance plug they have? Are the standard type like what's on my Turnigy Nano Techs? I believe they are called XH adapter...

How about 25% off entire Thunder Power range? Received an email from Helicopter World Inc a few days ago. Sale runs until 6th April.

www.heli-world.com or direct link to the thunderpower section. Add packs to cart to get the 25% off price. Free shipping too I believe...

5000mah 6s 65c TP pack: $250 > $187

Its lowest cost per cycle out of any battery. What is the complaint?

Get hk packs and pay more long term.

guess we are flying 2 different styles or packs.. I get 60+ cycles on all my packs...
but then I dont plow them into the ground either.

Sport flying must not kill packs like some of you guys fly.

gens ace have been getting every bit as good of reviews as any big name pack btw..

Old Pulse were not great,, they have completely turned around recently.. packs are performing very well on my Fusion.

gens ace never had any puffing or quality issues at all. just hard to get when in stock since they are so popular.

If Thunder Power is too expensive for you then simply find another brand that is cheaper.

Team outrage hmmmm

You say you only get 60 cycles on any pack including TP and you own pulse on 60 cycles, not good advertising. Dont worry TP replace them

After hearing about the issues, I was weary as well, but heard good things from a pro flying the newer batch. So decided to try them (at my own expense of course). I have a set of 3700mah 6s 65C that I run on the Fusion. 60 cycles in and they are going strong. Overdischarged them to ~12% a couple times and still OK. My flight style varies a lot so it's hard to use a fixed time (Fusion flight time varies from an insane 3m, to a mellow 5m). I have 4 6s 45C 5000mah Pulse for the 700e and gobbler. 30 cycles each. So far so good. Will see how they handle the season. The newer ones have a date code on them. Mine all read 063011 and I confirmed they are from the "new" batch. The newer ones are also heavier (i think). They probably used more metal in them to improve reliability. Just a guess.

I also have 4 GensAce 5300mah that I run on the Goblin and 550e. Almost at 100 cycles and still OK. With vbar gov they still perform great. vbar gov is good at making even older packs perform excellent.

My 2c FWIW.

Pulse are not that bad, over discharged one and the power and flight time loss made flying them not fun at all so I trashed them as they werent worth owning. Although I believe that will happen with just about any pack.

I have 5 6s 65c 5000 mah TP batteries that I have been using for my 700 heli. They are working well but my next batteries will be gens ace. I fly both. From my experience the gens ace gives as much power as the thunder power. I have yet to really push the goblin yet, but I have pushed the trex 700 and henseleit using both the tp and gens ace. I have over 90 cycles on the gens ace charging at 3c parallel charging and they are performing very well. So that's my take. Also I'm waiting for the 65c gensace to come out so I can try those too.

Im with HC....
Thunderpower cheaper long term.

Voltz= less than 40 cycles Puff. Warenty? oh yeah= none!
Pulse= puff puff puff into bin.....
Tunigy= no puff but not much power there. ok sport flying.
Tunigy= Nano tech 45-130c seem ok thus far. Heavy as bricks.....

Thunderpower= warenty and long term are cheaper than a risky unknown battery.
Im over it. I just use Thunder power now cause I know they work.......
ok there are always going to be good packs around in other bands to try out........
They seem too hit and miss after 6 months of releace.
Its like a lottery
Then puff puff pass!!!!

I now own less packs and charge in the field.
Buy less packs but better ones.
I can charge faster than i can fly with 4x TP 5000mah and 4x 3300MAh packs.
Suit trex 550, TDR, JR e8 and JR e6.

Hurry up Gobble 630 I want one!
