So you enjoying that 130? I had 2 of them and both were lemons so im glad your having good luck. Yeah the slow practice is harder than advanced 3d imo,I now have a 250 dfc and ill tell you it a nice little heli,it has its issues but im sorting through those,we gotta get you a hero2 cam,theyre worth every dollar.

I've been practicing in a similar way prompted by one of your previous posts. I think it is a GREAT practice. Now, if only I could do that inverted!

My inverted piros are sucky CW and mostly sucky CCW

I am really improving though.

As expected,the FBL 700N is way easier since you don't need to do much besides hold the rudder to do a good piro.

Yep. I've been doing them with my mcpx. Its a hand full.

Lookin good. Keep it up! The little guys are harder to learn on, which makes the transition to a 700 alot more rewarding.

I just got my first 700 class heli in the air for the first time yesterday,its an fbl trex 700n pro.
I have been alternating between the pro and the 130x all weekend..The 700 is a bit more stable in the air but I think I will practice my inverted piros with the 130.IMO not wasted time at all..

I move around just fine, even when I am trying to stay in one spot.

I think it is great practice and I am doing them probably 1 in every 3 flights now.

Consistent piros are a great way to practice fluid changes of orientation.

Another kicker is CW vs CCW piros require slightly different stick inputs due to how the tail thrust is affecting attitude which can mix things up. It's very minor...but when I started really taking a look there were some subtle differences myself and others at the club were finding.

Trying to move around while keeping the correct stick inputs WHILE compensating for the piro is probably one of the harder things to master. You get that down...and 3d is pretty much an open door to you.

I'm working on getting it sorted so I can put more piro into my piro flips. Trying to slow everything down and still do it smoothly is without a doubt harder than smacking. I have great respect for anyone that can take any heli and throw down super smooth, slow 3d.
