No, the Catalina Ski race is that Saturday. I really enjoy hanging out at the break water listening to the motors and watching the crazy skiers. It is a once a year event.

No. Gate will be open and manned starting at 0700 and will remain so until about 1100. After that, call the number on the gate and someone will come down to let you in.

Oh, the $15 registration will include lunch on Saturday.

Thanks to everyone who came out to fly and to the guys from my club who were on hand to help, especially Ron, who took care of all the registration duties for me.

Perfect conditions and just a relaxing, chill day today.

Can't say the same for the now flat-topped bush.

Well, I can't say enough about another awesome Miramar Funfly.

Thanks to everybody who made it happen, especially Kevin. I know there were many others but he's the poor guy who had to put up with us the most.

I do enjoy the big honkin funflys but there is something to be said about the casual atmosphere and relaxed pace of this funfly. It was a total blast.....and like somebody mentioned, the real fun started in the evening when the heckling really began. Great time.

Also, thanks to everybody who had to drive to make it. I'm sure there were others but Brent and Shane are troopers and we all appreciate them coming. It wouldn't be the same without you two.

My favorite move of the weekend was an awesome auto by Brent through a bush. Yes that's right, Dillon may have flat-topped a bush, but Brent finished his auto by flying right through a bush, and landed upright!. Very impressive. The bush is now heart-shaped.

We heli fliers are always happy to help with the gardening and topiary carving...

Best event so far this year I had a blast hanging out with you all Thanks Kevin even tho I didn't get to see you fly that Compass(never do)you still put on a great show Nice pic Brent good to see you living up to your name (APFreak) I can remember our 1st Miramar hanging out you had the 600 in the air taking great photos.
