Default ENV Governor Sensor

Hey guys,

I was just wondering how are you guys mounting the governor sensors on this heli? I have searched but most of the post just states the 3 places to fix the magnets, but no pictures on where to mount the sensor. Any help will be appreciated. By the way, I'll be using the Futaba CGY750.

Thanks,

Stan

Hi Stan I am using a Total G but you could use the same sensor mounting. I installed the sensor magnet in the fan and drilled a small hole in the fan housing for it to fit through. Then I used a bracket that came with my TG. The black is heat shrink I applied to protect the sensor wires. Here are a couple pictures, sorry they are a bit fuzzy but I just snapped them real quick with my iPad and the lighting was not good, but hopefully you get the idea.

Awesome, thanks for the reply and pictures. I was debating on where to affix the magnets, either on the fan or clutch bell.

I used the 750 as well and I mounted the sensor on the outside as pictured below. I had to drill one hole to mount it, and it would be easier to attach if you fasten the screws and nuts before the frame is assembled. I put it together first so I could see what the best position would be for the sensor. The fan had to be cut out and you can see a couple of scratches where my knife got away from me.

Great! Thanks for the pictures guys. Seems like the preferred option is to mount the magnet on the fan huh?

This is my 'simple' governor bracket.
Just used a plastic center brace (AS1018) with the hex aluminium spacer.
The brace was more or less cut in half (this is not mandatory) and a regular governor flat bracket (flat piece of stock will do) bolted thru the hex aluminium spacer. Tye wrap and heat shrink complete the picture.
Only 'modification' needed to the frames is enlarging the already present 2.5mm holes on each sides (the hole just in front of the bottom front bolt of the clutch stack assembly) .
The distance between the bottom of the governor sensor and the bottom of the plastic center brace is 6mm - this provides the right cleareance over the magnet/clutch bell.
