Default What tail fin?

Hi guys,

Since I've stretched my atom - added 6HV skids - struts and bigger tail rotors, my tail rotors are making sweet love to the grass more often than I'd like.

What Tail fin to keep this from happening?

I believe the 6HV tail fin will bolt right on. The Atom 500 and 6HV booms are the same diameter and use the same boom clamp. I'm not sure whether the spacing for the bolt that goes in the tail case is the same, but you could probably drill that out if not.

Thanks bum.

What about loud NEON GREEN.

I know Fusuno makes a 550 size fin and I don't mind drilling to make fit.
I have a t-rex 550 regular CF spare tail fin but its too deep/long.

Anyone have experience the the Fusuno ones?

The 6 HIV tail fin works but you have to do some cutting
As the fin is too tall for the Atom

It shouldn't be when using the 6HV struts.

Bum is right. But even if you don't use the 6hv skids, the 6hv fin will work, the back ends of the 500 skids just barely touch the deck. Shouldn't be any different on a stretched bird, and the OP already has the 6hv skids on, so I would think he'd want the taller fin anyway. No drilling reguired by the way.
