Default Getting new E5S

Just got an E5S in a trade. I've been in the hobby since the late 80's and this will be my first larger electic.

I'm really impressed with the new line up, the support and the company in general.

I wonder why there seems to be less activity on these forums? I guess the Goblin is the top dog these days but I like the simplicity, versatility and looks of the Synergy better myself.

I'll post pics and give my initial impressions once I get it and I'm able to fly when the weather gets better.

Anyway, here is my setup:

Synergy E5S - 12S Setup
X-era 4030/2.5Y 560kv
Kontronik Jive 80HV+
Spektrum DSMX Sats (2)
Rail R-606 Main Blades
Rail R-96 Tail Blades
JR DS8717 on cyclic
JR DS8900G Tail Servo
Mini VBar

Congrats!

Part of the reason that the Synergy forums here aren't as active as some of the other brands is that Synergy also maintains their own forums and they're pretty active.

Welcome aboard! Glad to see here over here!

Rodney hit the nail on the head, also, the Synergy models are generally problem free. One of my favourite builds I've ever done was the E5.

Added up the cost of the setup, if I bought new it would be around $2,100.00. Its amazing how much these things cost using premium components.

My wife thinks it's crazy, but when I pointed out the cost of other hobbies such as boating, golfing, cars, etc, it's not too bad. I told her a happy husband is a good husband! Keeps me out of trouble too!

Welcome to the Synergy Family!!

You will find we refer to ourselves as a family quite often

As Rodney said, the Synergy Support Forums are a great resource, but if you want to stick with HeliFreak there are several active team members and a large Synergy owners group that frequent. Your questions and comments will be seen

Enjoy the E5s. Still my favorite size heli. Love my 700s, but the E5s is a great bird. Almost always have one with me, next to my N5c of course Never know when a passing field will call to you to fly something!
