I do not think that spares from 4g6 would fit this heli as they are both from different manufacturers. One is Walkera while the other is Nine Eagles. Based on the specs given. Solo pro is bigger as it is a 120 class while 4g6 is still a 100.

Is there a forum here on helifreak for the Nine eagle 180 pro?

Talking

I'm new here and just pulled the trigger on the RTF, yellow 180 3D. I agree on a forum for the heli. This heli deserves it's own forum. How would we go about that, talk to a moderator or something.

I was looking for some specs on the servos and motor but can't find any.
I was wondering if u could replace the servos with some nicer quality digitals. And maybe upgrade the motor to a scorpion. That would be cool!

Just got mine today, tail holds amazingly.

The servo is freaking small, only thing I could imagine to fit is walkera, but I dunno if it's better than NE.

And the stock motor is powerful enough IMHO, and I don't think that scorpion has a model of this tiny size

I use to have a Walkera 4g6 and anything less then a perfect landing ended in stripped tail gears.

Do you guys think this is just as delicate?

Thanks,

I haven't stripped the gear yet but the seller told me to land carefully, so I guess they all suffer the same problem more or less.

First thing the swash mix needs to be 90 Deg for the flybarless system to work, I know this seems odd because the servos are set up 120 Deg but thats how Nine Eagles have done it.

I dont think you could replace the servos, the bird has been designed to clip together, the servos dont screw in they are locked in with screwed down clips. As for the motor it has heaps of power you would not bother replacing it.

Well, after my first tail servo fail, I have also had a collective servo fail in flight, this time about 30 feet in the air, I hit the hold and it came crashing to the ground again, and once again no damage at all to the heli, this little guy is tough.

Same thing with the servo, the leeds solder not a very good job, this time I pulled every servo apart and re soldered all the leeds, and we are back in the air. Maybe I just got a bad batch but it might be worth your while checking before you fly.

Red face SoloPro 180 3D

I am going to receive a Solo Pro 180 3D heli for Christmas. This is my first collective pitch heli that I will try to fly,I have a couple of fixed pitch helis and I feel pretty good about my flying ability (Solo Pro V1 and the Free Spirit 220A) I have a 450 but would like to take a ladder up to the bigger helis and 3D via this 120. Since I am new to this realm of flight I thought I would start studying anything I could about this really cool 6 channel realm/heli. So any study material that you think might be relevant to my quest would be appreciated.
The 318A (180 3D) has a torque tube tail, I would like to have some study material that shows how to change this particular gear and whole tail section or any heli close to this that has a torque tube tail (I'm guessing that this will help me if/when the time comes).
I'm open to anything that will help.
Thanks, heli people are the best!

Perfectly normal, its FBL right?, pretty much all of them do it that way.

It's great that many have been giving good reviews for this heli. I will be ordering myself one for my birthday this Christmas.

If you buy it as a set it come RTF out of the box. If your new to this let it be and learn to fly it the way it is. Once you know what your doing you can turn it up so it flys like a 450 pro.

Ok I was able to buy parts from Helipal.com and there prices were a bit higher than HK but I had the parts in my hands on Monday ! I ordered on Thursday night. They had extra batteries for 6 ot 7 buck? So the parts are out there. My guess is before long everyone will have the parts.

BTW Anyone that ever has a question or needs help just drop me an email or a PM Email is better.

Today I busted the tail gears, it was bound to happen They didn't strip easy, but I put the tail down in the grass first,I was excited because I had two solid flights with no failure with all the good stuff flips, rolls and a nice solid bit of inverted.
Anyhow, I had spares so I went back to see how hard these gears were to replace. After pulling half the helicopter apart I found the 5 min gear fix only undoing 2 screws.

1 - Remove tail shaft. "You only need to undo the locking collar, unclip the pitch slider control arm and gently pull the shaft out leaving the broken gear.

2 - Remove main gear. the only reason you need to do this, is so you can prevent the tail shaft from moving forward when you push the new gear on.

3 - Put the new gears on. and away you go

Yes these gears will strip, but its a small price to pay for good tail authority and with a 5 min replacement, little time will be lost till your back in the air.

Batteries are charged and there is no wind so i'm off to see what I can't bust this time.

Thanks for the reviews. I may end up with one of these to replace my tired Novus 125CP. Looking forward to more reviews from more users an a long term review of performance and quality.
