Default HK 550

I just recieved my HK 550 trex clone. Very impressive. I have heard of cheap plastic on previous models. This stuff seems just as tough as the Align. The metal parts look great. Cant wait to start building her.

Post some pics...I would love to see some.

You wouldn't have a real Align kit also? A comparison on the parts would be really nice....

I do have a few questions about the pinion. Do you know what size motor shaft it is for? 6mm or 5mm? Also, is it a 16t pinion?

I got mine the other day and I am very impressed with kit against the Trex. The only thing I don;t like is the canopy. For an extra $9 they could have put one of the nice Turnigy canopies in instead.

the 550 price, is much much higher than 500/600 etc, so guess they put the ekstra $$ into som more quality parts, and quality control, please build her fast, so we can get some experience!

Yeah the Turnigy canopies look pretty nice for the $$!
I just ordered an HK-550 kit too, but it is not clear if the kit comes with the front frame brace (see pictured). Did yours include this? Sure, looking forward to this thread! Thanks.

I just checked and it does not. The frame is rather stiff. I will look for a trex support for it.

My vote would be for the 550. Great power to weight ratio, cheaper blades, and cheaper batteries...

When I start adding everything up its almost no more than a TREX 550efl super combo. I want a FBL bird so I added in getting AR7200bx.

What kind of electronics are you guys running on these 550 clones? Thanks
