Default One Broken MAV G5 Pro

Hey Guys,

One quick question. Please help! I broke the tip off one of my blades today by mistake. I bought another set of the same. My question, can I use one good blade with one of the new ones. These are Mavrikk G5 PRO FBL WC blades.

Thanks
Paul

No, they are matched up and packed as pairs at the factory.

this.

I bought a couple pairs of e series and they are balanced very well from factory. I would wait until you break 1 of the new pair, then balance the left overs to make another pair. I ended up doing this until I can pick up some more blades.

This is also a possibility, but beware that most blades can easily vary + / - 5 grams, 10 grams total, between sets (700 size). If you are lucky you may get two sets that are very close to each other weightwise, but most likely not. It will take a lot of tape to balance out several grams, and by then the airfoil will be compromised anyway.

Possible in theory, but only with close matched blades...

yeah, but most people continue to buy the same blades over and over so if they keep each good one they could weigh them to find the closest mach then balance them? it would be a shame to throw away good blades especially if you buy expensive ones.

The brand don't matter. This relates to all manufacturers.

There will always be slight variations between each individual blade during manufacturing process, so they make them first and later sort the individual blades into the closest matching pairs.
That is why all blades come "factory balanced"...

The sad fact is that if you break one blade, you will have to swap both...

And I have a neat collection stacked in the closet to prove my point.

Here's one thing you can do with the left-over single blades :

I say just balance them and fly, if theres a problem youll notice it. Alot of the people who endlessly tune, need everything perfect etc cant even fly well at all. - I never met anyone in this thread, so I wasnt talking about you guys.
