MQX Rolling Speed issue? Left faster
I have been flying my MQX for about 2 weeks and I've noticed as I went from beginner settings up to %100 on my DR and Travel adjustments that the MQX rolls left much quicker than rolling right. The different is very obvious. If I rock side to side using left and right roll I find I have to go much harder right to compensate for the speed of the left roll. Is this normal or what steps can I take to fix this. Here is my setup:
My setup is a DX6i with the stock MQX. I have my DR's at 100 with -20 and my travels are all at 100, expect yaw/rudder which is 125 as I find this is the slowest. I fly in the X configuration in Heli mode. I have no problems doing a fairly stable hover indoors in an open room. |

I think the only thing that you can look to is the motors. The CW motors are very tempermental. I have been through seven CW motors. I sent mine back to HH and it checked out fine according to them. When I start to see performance issues it has always been the motors. It can really only be a prop or motor issue as the rest of the MQX is sorta basic. If you start to see a lazy prop or corner to corner oscillation in flight or some lazy bouncing before lift-off it has always been a motor on mine. Some of my motors only lasted a minute or so. I have started flying on timer with mine at 6:00 minutes hoping to baby the motors has worked so far. (about 15 flights on new CW motor) My radio settings are very similar to yours 100/0 and 125 on travel adjust. The little thing definetly rips through flips and rolls for sure.

I think you are right, but I'm wondering if it might be the bearings as well. I was doing some bench testing and I am seeing the motor spin up and at hover it looks fine, but when I roll left to right and back the motor does not spin up as fast. At half throttle when I hit the cut switch that motor always spins down first by a noticeable amount, almost sounds like it is grinding.
I'm guessing I can test the bearings by popping out both motors and doing a hand spin to check the bearings. Sham I can't reverse the position of the motors. I'm not that confident yet |
