appreciate the link Gregor. It was not user error, oh no. I am perfect. thank you very much. It is my para board. I have a new one on order. one side is not getting power. I am NOW testing each pack before flight. Stick packs have both cells tested.

Thank you for the information and help.

On to the next step. What kind of parallel board is it? It might be worth to check the continutity betwee all the main lead connectors to the connectors that go into the charger. Some times traces get burned or fuses get blown. These are hard to see since most are inside the plastic housing.

I'm not saying this was your issue. But its another helpful device to prevent putting a discharged pack into the model. I've done it, got lucky and it ended well. I plan on getting some of these in my next HK order.

I would save the money. I am just in the habit of checking my packs every time I put a new one in with one of my meters. You can even check the pack voltage right before you put the canopy on if you want with it already hooked up. Cant go wrong that way.

Definitely the superior way to approach this. The HK sliders provide an additional tool to help out.

I am working on checking every time as well. I have started strapping the pack down, THEN checking it. Should help avoid having 2 packs in front of me, checking the fresh one, then accidentally reinstalling the flown one

That has happened to me as well! The internal balance leads can't handle a lot of current (at least in my case), and I have 2 crappy batteries (turnigy ) that are always out of balance after flight. As soon as I plug them both on that board (yes the main leads first!) one of the connections in the parallel board fries.

I'm glad I have the soldering skills to fix it... But yes be careful with that! To check easily if the board is still fine, hook up just 1 battery and see if you get a balance error .

Check at each location, however. It's possible for only certain ports to fail. If you only test port A, and assume they are all good, but port B has disconnected somehow, you might not find out until something bad happens.

If you are going to use a parallel board, make sure to use one that has fuses on the main leads and the balance leads.
