Help with ESC configuration for E-550
Hey guys...I am a newbie to electrics. Got a new Raptor E-550, assembled and all that was left to do was configure the stock ESC. Easy, I thought. Running non-BEC. Turned everything on in the order the paperwork said to. No joy!! Initially the ESC emitted 3 rising tones and then the 4 tones indicating the low throttle position was recognized. It didn't first emit the 6 tones indicating the full throttle position was recognized. After disconnecting and shutting down I now get zero tones when trying to calibrate. Did I somehow cook the ESC or am I missing something here. Thanks guys. Darrell

What radio are you using? Generally JR radios work fine with the throttle as normal, Futaba radios need the throttle reversed. If this isn't the fix you could try increasing the endpoints top and bottom on the throttle function, sometimes the ESC doesn't see enough travel to think it's at full throttle.

Thanks for the info Steve. I am using an Airtronics Stylus. I will try your suggestions. On my initial attempt to configure, I got some tones out of the ESC. I get nothing now which makes me wonder if it (ESC) is pooched. djm
