Default 3G pots or 2.1 GUI?

I am wondering how you guys are setting up the pots and the 3G 2.1 software. Are you putting the pots at 11 or 12 o'clock and doing the rest from the computer or keeping the computer interface out of the picture until the pots are adjusted as close as possible then going to the computer to fine tune the heli with the 3G controller computer GUI?

My 3G software and link has not arrived yet so I am adjusting with the pots. Elevator is at 11 and aileron is at 10 1/2. Flying pretty well with these settings.

The pots just adjust total gain. In the software you want to set total gain close to your final setting and if you need to find tune then you can adjust the pots. I would guess the pots give you a 10% range to play with.

My pots are 11-12 o'clock on all of my helis from 250-700 using the stock 2.1 firmware files with the expo removed since I am adjusting expo in my radio.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully I'll have it all together by next weekend and do her maiden!

No kidding! I'm all over that. Think my 450 outrigger won't make it so I'll have to head over to the LHS or probably better yet a hardware store and pick up a few goodies.

Still waiting for my new CC Ice 100. Installed HS-7940TH's on the cyclic and programmed precise center and end points. Just need that ESC!
