Default Synergy N7 Receiver Placement

I am converting my fleet over to Futaba and I am wondering where everyone is placing their receivers? I fly iKON and I will be using a R7003SB.

Pictures would be awesome!

Yeah, I will probably have to move my switch up some so it can reach the battery.

I like my battery tray to be a clean and clear as possible, only the battery if possible. flying the neo with the vcontrol has been a huge blessing, not rx, no separate unit and sensor, not servo extensions, none of that! much lighter too!

Well, I mounted the receiver. I am not super happy with the antenna setup though. What's your thoughts?

Not good, that antenna won't get any signal from the other side of the heli, it is completely blanked by the frame. It looks like the other side is mounted the same. They need to be 90deg from each other and clear of the frame.

Yeah that's what I kind of thought. My thoughts around that placement would be that the other antenna would pickup signals. So, how should I place it then?

Check this link out, these antenna holders work well, but there is no reason to buy them when you can make your own.

I use juice box straws from my son or coffee stirrers to hold the antennas and shrink them to zip ties to hold them in place. This pic was a first shot at wiring my N7. Those red tubes have my antennas in them. I've since moved the top one a bit but it's in the same orientation. Range checks perfect.

Ok, I setup my antennas the way you have yours. My one that points up isn't quite as high as yours (antenna not lock enough I guess).
