Do we know enough about the 200srx that we could say whether or not it has heading hold capability? I mean since there's no flybar.....it must have electronic stabilization. There must be some gizmo correctly mixing the main motor and tail motor speeds.....and a heading hold gyro on the yaw axis would be one way to achieve that......plus it would hold the heading.

Am I not right?

Thats what I was wondering ,..If its like AS3X, will it compensate for for anything that is not an operator input ? If you let go of the throttle stick , will it do what it has to ,to stay at the altitude you leave it at?
If it can do that , then this breakthrough in fixed pitch technology...

I know this isn't for everyone after reading through this thread, but for a newbie like me I'm quite excited to get my hands on one.
I pre-ordered one and now just waiting.
I originally sarted with a 120sr as my first heli and I spent more time fixing it than flying it.
I dumped the 120sr and got a Mcx2 to learn the basics, after a week or so I went and got a Msrx and I love flying this thing, I found it easier to fly the Msrx than the 120sr, but on windy days it gets a bit crazy for me to handle and hard to see in the distance.
So I think this will be perfect for a newbie like me to move foward. A bigger heli to take the wind and something I can see.
If this was out when I started, it would have been my first choice.

I been flying CP helis a few years. This 200srx fixed pitch has several things going for it and I can't wait to get MY hands on one too. I was talking to a computer genius friend who is also an RC heli guy and seems to understand 3 axis technology....he believes the controller and software in the 200srx will be a very robust and capable system. Not too many FP helis use a 3S lipo. If this translates into higher headspeed it could be fast, and steady in wind as well.

For $220 the thing just looks so drop dead cool.

Now see... that's a photo I can show my planker friend... he doesn't use the internet and he doesn't know what 1000 different helis are sized like. If I said NanoCPX or Goblin 700, those terms would be meaningless to him. I gave him my 120sr for free when he bought my DX6i and my MCX2 and MSR.

Now I can show him that picture comparing it to a known quantity (he has a 120sr) , and then show him the video of it flying outside and say "hey dude, you should consider getting one of these when they come out".

That's all I was asking for in the first place! Thank you!

I think I'm the first person at my LHS to be on the pre-order list for the 200SRX!! I'm so excited for it though, I actually picked up a new SR just to mess around with until the 200SRX comes out! lol I wish the 200SRX was already shipping out! lol For my flying style it's perfect for me, Low maintenance and long flight times and you can still do loops! I cant wait to see what else BLADE has to offer down the road! I pre-ordered the RTF version, I'm interested in seeing to it flys with the RTF TX..

One thing that caught my attention though is the swash plate! It looks exactly like the same swash plate from the SR that was known to separate... I'm hoping it's an improved swash, But that will definitely be something i will upgrade to aluminum!

And does anybody know why this plastic is wrapped around the servos?

Good catch! That swash plate looks just like the one from the old Blade CP. ( cringe... )

Well hey....gotta save money somewhere....ha ha! And folks...it's always fun to upgrade and aluminum looks pimp.

Perhaps.....to keep them from instantly exploding at liftoff?

One thing I'm wondering about.... Given the beginner target audience is unlikely to own a proper charger how is Blade going to handle the 3 cell situation? These lipos won't be cheap and will require balanced storage charging if they are going to last. Using the default Celectra stuff will be very painful even for normal charging. Hmmm....

Exactly! lol I'm pretty sure it shares the same main gear and possibly tail boom from the SR... main motor for sure. I like the idea that they are sharing parts, I just hope the swash isn't going to fall apart!

I was guessing to help hold them together?? lol I just don't see the point of why it's on them!

My guess would be to act as a wedge or something so the servos fit a little more snug in the frame. Maybe act as dampeners towards vibrations? Thats my guess though!
