Default Think I killed my battery

Just built my new trex 250 kit, with tarot FBL unit + head. Flew quite nicely out of the box no tail problems as of yet

As I was performing tuning flights, I wasn't using a timer as I was landing every 30 seconds and adjusting a setting. I did quite a few short flights and there was still plenty of power after I unplugged the batt. I took it to the charger and it was reading each cell at about 2.5v! and would refuse to charge.

Just wondering is the align esc LVC useful? because it didn't seem to kick in at all. I'm using the high lvc setting.

When you were adjusting the settings, did you unplug the battery?

If you did, then it might be possible that at one point it picked up the pack as a 2s.

Also some ESC's pick LVC as some fraction of the voltage it sees when you plug in the pack.

These are just guesses

I chucked it on nimh charge till the voltage came back up then charged it normally and it seems fine now. Very strange.

Thats exactly what I do, a few seconds on nimh followed by a slow balance charge and my lipos always restore to perfection.

There are chemical processes that take place in a cell below 3V. The longer the cell is in this state, the greater the damage. It isn't black and white.

I fly my 3S 850's to they 'die'. I end up recharging to 800ish.
I also charged a 'dead' Makita battery drill, probably 10 years old, took 6 - 7 hours but it charged! A new battery is worth more than the drill.

Funny thing was that after trying this, I didn't use the drill for 3 months, thought it would be dead again. But it went!

On a totally different note. I'm surprised at the lack of power on this trex. Not sure if somethings wrong, but it doesn't seem very strong/fast on punchouts. I'm running 100% flat throttle with 13 degrees pitch. I tried upping it to 15 it was a bit better but would bog alot more and the tail would start to swing.

Am I doing something wrong or is this just how it is?

Nah using another battery. Could bad dampeners lead to bogging?
