Aside from canopy, landing gear and fin, the frames have been modified to allow for larger motor and the 600e canopy spacers were installed. I plan to install the KDE 700 main gear hub and 700 main gear at some point.

Default HELP 550e flybarless

I have set up and flown a 450 and a lot of smaller stuff. I am having issues with the flybaless sensors. I am using a brand new dx8 on the stock kit and everything works till i plug in the flybarless electronics. At that point the lights blink green on the controller then i get a red blinking light. As the instructons that come with the copter are rather brief, maybe sonone has run into this problem. The only plug that is questionable is the plug that is on the rudder pigtrale that is for the sensivity. HELP please

The gear is pretty noisy but works fine. I will probably go to the 164T mod0.7 main gear at some point. A FBL head is installed. I used the KDE FBL main rotor housing, Align silver 600 grips and swash driver, and a Mini VBar.

Default Newbie with a 550e build question.

I am a newbie in the early build stages of build a 550e and I have a question I could use some help with.
There is a frame cross support that can be installed in two different positions, high or lower mid frame.
I do not understand the benefits of either position.
Can anyone help me determine which position would be best given my lack of experience?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
Have been searching the forum for the answer and have not been successful yet.

Upgrades
My biggest upgrade was adding the Kontronics Jive 80 HV. This upgrade REALLY increased the power of my 550e (What feels like almost double the power from the stock ESC) I converted my FB to FBL using the stock Align head with the Microbeast. Added Edge 520 FBL blades. Upgraded the tail and tail pushrod to carbon fiber. Other than that... all stock. This 550e is a monster!
