Something else I did as soon as it came out of the box: measured and recorded the lengths of all pushrods/linkages
More than once it helped me get back to point zero after my "adjustments" really screwed things up!

I too recorded the link lengths on the original B450 3D and later on the B450X. However, I did not find this as helpful since the swash was not leveled out of the box. I use the Blade BLH1690A swash leveling tool to get the swash at the appropriate height, and then finish off leveling the swash with the Trueblood tripod leveler.

I agree, the Trueblood swash leveler is a great tool

Default Carbon Fiber tail boom Stab

there is a difference from the plastic to the carbon piece on the bottom. The plastic piece has a nice little Curve on the bottom that makes a snug fit
anyone else have this problem and how to fix it

I solved the problem ... but you are right..
so if you don't want to use the Aluminum part which is....
Aluminum Horizontal Stab Fin Mount: B450 [BLH1662A]

then take a piece of RC Fuel tube and put it between the CF Fin and the tail boom and it works perfect

Sounds like your motor mount is loose.

Default seesaw help

Hello, and thanks for the bible. I wanted to know if I had to take bearing out when just changing out the plastic seesaw for the aluminum with no crash damage. D Aug

Yes..That's what it's made for, the swash dimples fit into the recesses on the leveler

Question Blade 450 3D BNF with DX6i - Set up Help Needed

Guys, just purchased a used 450 3D. I bound it to my DX6i and the right stick controls are note functioning properly. Can anyone provide guidance on the base settings to achieve proper left and right stick function?

Can you describe exactly what your right stick is doing? Which slot did you bind your 450 to? Pretty much all DX6i's come with pre-programmed setups for the 450 in slots 9 (intermediate) and 10 (advanced). Did you use one of those, or did you start a new profile from scratch?

Default Blade 450 bible by Thalios

If you started as a new model chances are you have your mixing set to one servo instead of ccpm 120*

hey thalios and other, plenty of thx for this bible, had the 450 3d since it came out.

Just wondering if you've tried or are planning on trying any of the newer upgrades for this machine.

Like the carbon fiber frames that lynx and microheli make, and the strech kit lynx makes.

I'm interesting in finding some reviews on some of the newer upgrades offered.

Hi there
I'm new here and today bought a Blade 450 3D RTF, using a Spektrum DX6i and looking for the setup of the transmitter settings
Used to have a Caliber 600 but sold it, was quite hard to master and fly
Going to give it a try again
Thanks in advance

Default Good to see others kicking off.

All the manuals and settings should be available for download off the HH web site. Good luck. It looks like it has a specific PDF for the Dx6i

Well after a number of years of not flying I decided to dust off my 450-3d. Long story short... I need the main blade feather shaft BLH1621. Local hobby store and a web search turned up nothing. Anybody have some parts floating around in the bottom of your stuff? Could you check? I'll buy you a beer! 🍺
