Default cheap flybarless unit

I'm planing on building my js k6. Since I'm on a really tight budget and this is my first 600 class heli I'm interested if you guys would go with cheap flybarless unit? I was thinking gv800 would be it. I saw few guys flying this in their goblins.
Thanks for you advise.

Robird G31 is the best bang for the buck if you don't want to deal with clones.

3Gx is in widest circulation - flys like a Bx or ikon - plenty of support from users - about $40 off forums - as to your other one gv800 - where you gonna get help - cant here -

3GX is the widest circulation in the for sale section as well because they sell them when they buy the combo. . When you say budget, what price range you talking about? Even though I am a huge Ikon fan, it is bit more expensive. The microbeast can be had for a decent price, but you either need a recever or go with the AR7200BX.

Yeah - a pair of sats are gonna cost you $50 alone - sure you'll need two on a 600.
So that's about $200 with ikon or vbar or sk540 or spartan -
Ar7200 - $125 w/sat -
And about $90~100 on the rest..............

As far as Robird and few others - I would worry about their companies longevity as market prices drop like a rock..some will lose patient battles and get the cease and desist on US soil.... ..remember the Alamo - I mean min aircraft, outrage, ......

Thank you guys for your advice. I see now that g31 is a solid controller for my needs .First big heli and mild 3d. Only other unit that's in my budget is microbeast plus. I can't find any review on this. I know it's a new unit and waiting for firmware update. Nothing beside that.

Robird G31 isn't a clone of anything so what would they receive a cease and desist for?

I've had 3gx, beastx and now Robird G31. For the price the Robird is a great unit, flys just as good, if not better as my beastx's and much better than the 3gx.

The G31 is one of the better gyro's at any price point. I liked it better then my Skookum SK540, that was until Skookum released the 4.0 firmware.

I know this forum has a zero tolerance on mention of certain Vbar clones (yet strangely has many threads and even a sub-forums dedicated to Align and YGE clones.. go figure?)
But anyway, the OP asked about cheap FBL controllers for those on a budget, so it would be wrong not to point out that there exist in the marketplace a number of Vbar clones that, ethical arguments aside, are unbeatable value for money because they fly just like the Vbar but cost about $25

Not mentioning any names obviously.

"Robird G31 is the best bang for the buck if you don't want to deal with clones."

I could not agree more!

I have six in service now on a 450, 360, 550, 600, 600 Nitro, and 700E.

All working very well!

Next one will go on a new 550.

Yep, and I have setup helis for guys that wanted to use them. I flew the helis and couldn't find a hint of difference compared to their cloned mini Vbars. Even used the same setup software. $25? Never saw any that cheap?
