Default Pretty dang good!

As I was waiting for my RTF Inductrix FPV to get to my house, I bought a BNF version from my LHS. Surprisingly, it had a sale and was cheaper than online by $10. I have it bound to my 9xr Pro, and it works most of the time. Occasionally it willnot bind, but does not blink as though it is not bound. It flew well line of sight, not great battery life, but that's my only complaint.

When I got the RTF, I used some zip ties to make the monitor mount work with the handle thing on my 9xr, and it is fairly secure. It is certainly cumbersome using the screen, so I may just buy a cheaper set of goggles soon. I do find it hard to get used to flying FPV as it is rather difficult to know where your sides are and such. Maybe it is just something you get used to, but a larger field of view would have been nice.

It has had a few tumbles, though no visible damage, but there is a bit of a buzzing noise. I am also noticing that control seems to be more difficult, almost as if there is a lot of air current in the rooms I fly, causing drifting, and loss of altitude. Guess I'll try it back where I flew line of site and see if it flies the same. It is quite fun though, and I can see getting into a racing quad of sorts at some point.

So general flight is good, but the Inductrix will do a weird shimmy and fall to the floor. It's not a power loss, but almost like the power bursts to each of the motors in a clockwise or counterclockwise pattern. It will then bang the ground and it is fine afterwards. It seems to happen when I do quicker forward flight, of which in itself has a unique characteristic of climbing, rather than losing altitude like most quads I have flown.

Frame is bashed up now, can't fix it with anything, so I tried the second Inductrix from the RTF combo. First flight, a motor and prop ripped out out the duct. I was flying it only from FPV and suddenly saw it spinning wildly, then crash. I found the little guy, one motor all twisted around the wire, so evidently it happened in the air and the motor was still spinning. The rest of the frame is okay, but I have had to go back to the first Inductrix with a nearly unusable frame. This has it's own issues of losing power though, going into LVC after 20 seconds in flights (and of course falling and doing more damage to the frame). I gather there is some improper connection in the connector on the quad/ too much resistance. I'm going to see if I can use the frame stiffener as the frame itself, make the motors adhere to it, and then adhere the stiffer to the area around the battery tray, thus not be reliant on the ducts to hold the motors in place.
