Compass shop?
Hey guys... I'm fixing a Warp for a friend of mine. Almost 3 weeks ago I put in a fairly large parts order to "shop-compassmodel.com" because they seem to be the only store with all the parts in stock, and I was under the impression they are a reputable supplier. I got a confirmation email with an order number from them after placing the order, but no shipping info. When I log into their website it says the order still hasn't shipped... but everything was listed in stock! I didn't see a contact or customer service link on their website, and I didn't get any reply from their auto-generated sales email address. I'm feeling a little left out in the cold here, is there any way to contact them? Thanks.

In one instance some of the parts I ordered were marked as "Short supply" flagged with the blue icon. I suspect when it is marked as "Short supply" it probably is out of stock. I did receive a shipping notification two to three weeks after the order and received the order after another week or so.

Same experience. Placed an order two weeks ago and have heard nothing. All the items were yellow or (mostly) green. I don't mind having parts come from China, and I don't even mind if it takes 3 weeks. But lack of up-front transparency on the time is annoying.
EDIT: Oddly, I received an e-mail today indicating that my order of two weeks ago had been shipped from Hong Kong six days ago. This was the first notice I've received, and there was also no info on the Compass website until today. Attempting to track the package results in receiving instructions to submit a request form with a link that goes to a non-existent website. Alternately, I can FAX or call the "mail tracing office" during business hours.

Compass shop?
It took me 6.5 weeks to receive an order with all in stock items. When I did receive the parts the box they shipped it in was a total joke. I'll never order from there again.

Have you guys tried Prostar Hobby out of Farmington, MI? I ordered 6 parts for my Warp from them yesterday and all were in stock.

Compass' HK operation definitely needs some work. Their systems and processes feel right out of the 80s. Hard to make a successful business out of that today.

Best bet is to have a second kit to grab parts from with Compass. Restock your backup kit as needed. Could save you multiple weeks during the summer in the US.

ExperienceRC is still adjusting and forecasting just how much and what to order with each Compass parts order. They'll get it right.

However, this does not apply for Atom 500 nor Warp 360. Only apply for eXo

Experience RC will not be supporting the Atom.
Sadly, the Atom was discontinued a year or two ago. It had an unusually long product life span for a model helicopter (seven or eight years) and was supported for all of that time. The Atom has been replaced/superseded by the eXo 500. The Warp, like the eXo is a current model. What dunkonu23 said about Experience working on adjusting and forecasting DOES apply to the Warp.

There is a kit, it converts the 7HV to a Chronos. Here's the part number: 11-3000. The catch is this: It's expensive--not as much as a new kit. It is called the Optic and Technic upgrade. If you want it, contact Experience RC by phone to see if they can order it for you.

I did this last year. As Scott mentioned, it is not inexpensive, but it is worth it to get the added stiffness, improved geometry, and resulting improved performance. It assumes that you are starting with a 7HV-U/V2 so that you have the newer gearing and tail setup. It does not include the newer battery tray rails (I will be adding those this year).

I think it was originally 7hv and then updated to 7hvu slanted gear.i don't know that much about the tail. I'll half to see what's the difference between them

TitaniumFreak,
Upgraded tail rotor assembly-The tail rotor shaft diameter was increased, as were the tail shaft bearings; the tail blade grips were replaced with larger, heavier duty versions; the tail hub was upgraded; the plastic tail bellcrank and pitch change mechanism was replaced by a ball-bearing supported aluminum arm. Although I had no issues with the original tail, the newer version is sharper, crisper, and more precise in flight.
