Default BK cyclic horn

Anybody here using the BK servos? I was wondering what horns you are using for cyclic. Thanks

On the "other" brand 380, I ended up using BK horns. I thought the BK's were too flimsy, but they have held up well with the splines not developing play over 100's of flights yet stripped in the real hard crashes, which I think they should. Much better than the SAB horns which look beefy but developed play in the spline quickly.

I ended up just getting the BK horns. I took my servos off of a G380 that had the SAB horns and they were too thick to fit the P380.

Ok guys thanks. I got these servos used with sab horns and read they won't work. Do the BK horns have the 15mm hole?

Mine has SAB horns but not with BK servos. I bought the heli used and it came with KST.

Has anyone confirmed that the BK servos and SAB horns won't work?

Yep, with the BK's and the SAB horns the horn hits the middle bearing block when the arm moves down. It's cause the SAB arm's back is almost flush with the servo face. You could almost certainly just grind down the bearing block a little but I just went with the BK's.

I'm using the BK 3001's with the horns that came with them, as I remember. They seem to project a little too far from the servo. They sometimes bump the frame as they go up and down. It's certainly noticeable on the bench, but doesn't seem to have any effect on flight as they don't hang up, but they are hitting. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and if I should be concerned? I suppose I could try different horns or use washers to back out the servo a mm or two.

I'm running the stock ones at the 14mm hole with no problems. I'll post a pic of mine and see if it's the same

Default BK cyclic horn

I had the same problem Billc55 had. Especially worrisome was that the servo to swash link can rotate to the point where the plastic ball link was hanging up against the frame.

My solution was to use a fine file on the carbon fiber frame to increase the clearance a bit. It doesn't take much.

You could try putting spacers behind servo mounts
