Default MCX2 rotor intermittent

Hey all, I'm new here but had a question that I can't seem to find an aswer for. I bought the mcx2 yesterday. Had a few great first flights and a few minor crashes. After about 3 flights, the lower motor would not spin the gear to get the rotor going. I went through the rebinding etc. It started to work again.

Now the lower rotor won't spin, motor turns intermittently. I keep seeing it try to kick in but it never holds power. I switched the "lower" motor plug into the "upper" motor receptacle on the board and the motor worked fine. Then eventually, the top rotor would stop spinning and the lower would! It's crazy and I can't keep track of it all. Any suggestions?

Is this possibly a 5n1 problem? Maybe battery not charged?

I reassembled, tried to fly, but all I got was a crazy uncontrollable spin.

I emailed Horizon, hopefully I'll get some kind of resolution.

Thanks for any help.

I talked with Horizon and wanted to pass along the information in case someone else has a similar issue.

They understood the issue I was having and said that it suffered from "crash damage." Makes sense, I'm new. The cause of the problem is that if the blades get stopped by a wall, furniture or godzilla wife, and the power hasn't been reduced to zero, the power "back feeds" into the circuit board. It's basically fried and needs to be replaced.

I can't tell you how helpful and nice they were. It was definitely great to hear "it happens to everyone starting out, you'll get better." It's encouraging to work with customer service that does what it's designed to do.

Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem.

Sounds like you need a new motor.

Similar problem. Please post if replacing the 5-in-1 does the job.
