Yeah V2.0 and it's really simple and straight forward, if you follow the manual, then you couldn't do it wrong

now waiting when it stops snowing....to do some field setup for the esc

i will post some beastx en CC settings soon

YEAH ! RC Components arrived today

- BeastX V2.0.0 - 5.0
- Savöx SH-1290MG for Rudder
- Savöx SC-1258TG for Swash

arrowfive: can you tell me what version is written on your MB package?
mine says Version 2.0.0 - 5.0 PF4C0
im a little bit confused: there was no orange paper inside that holds the beast. just some baloon-bag and the MB was inside! (hollow-seal wasn't broken)

Happy new Year @all

yes, they nearly hit!
i just eyeballed the link-connections and got pretty 90. i have to adjust my servos at another step of my build.
here are the pic's with the eyeballed link-setups

i think the 100T maingear causes this close play between maingear and elevator linkage.
@arroxfive: okay, i got the same MB version as you. did you maiden your first flight allready?

@garfiled2412: donīt know but it looks like the bearing block above the motor pinion is the wrong way round. The groove of the bearing block should face upwards. Otherwise you might loose the bearing in flight (lost mine already ). Itīs also a mistake in the manual. Great heli but poor manual in my opinion .

Cheers

hi Florian,
i think you are right! sounds logical, and if you think about the forces, the bearing block must face the other way round :-)
i'll check Laurens crash heli i had bought as an spare part spender, to compare this mount.
but i think you are absolutely right!
Sharp eyes man!

here is the missprint in the manual:

Laurens changed the BB also!

maybe there is an RJX employee reading:

found missprints in RJX 90EP manual (V 1.0)
1.) Belt Rotation 5-10B
2.) Servo Mount 6-4 (wrong direction)
3.) Bearing Block Pinion 2-2 (wrong direction)
4.) Missing Belt-preasure-bearings @ Step 5-5B (for 2009-2010 Version)

correct?

I'm not an RJX employee but I talked to the guy from hurrican24 about points 1.- 3. which I also had to face during my build, so I'm pretty sure that this is correct. Don't know what is meant by 4. but if you talk about the two bearings at the tail which ar pushing against the belt, then there wasn't anything missing in my kit.

Don't know if you are using the stock 95mm tailblades because I think they are a little bit too short for the X90. After some flights I switched to Radix 105mm tail blades and the tail feels way better with them in my opinion.

Cheers
Florian

hi Florian,

no the parts aren't missing, the manual didn't show where to mount!
so i had parts and thought 3 days about where to mount them :-)

thougt about 105mm tb too!
i'm no 3D expert right now, but i like fast, precise moves (540 degree stall turn for example)
maybe i'll mount the 95mm on my roxxter and some 105mm edge on my rjx.

Ah ok, you are right, itīs not in the manual, I was also asking myself where to put these parts on. Iīm also no 3D expert but I felt the improvement of the long tailblades anyway .

Donīt know if it was you asking for the little space between 100T Maingear and elevator link. As far as I know you can turn around the metal lever in the back. Then there is a bit more room between the links to the servo horns and the frame and you get more space to the main gear. Donīt know if it is understandable

hi, do you mean the lever on the outside of the frame, so that the link is a little more off the frame side?

thx

Hi i did some test hovering today, now i'm gonna fly first in fixed endpoint mode to learn the heli first and i have 1960RPM at 85%, can i go to 90% because in govenor mode you have to get between 75 en 85%. Or doesn't that count voor fixed endpoint mode? i'm a little confused

i put on the standard maingear because of the elev link problem

another 90ep owner is having 1960rpm on 76% throttle input, that's actually more i like it

no, that wasn't me, arroxfive asked that.
but if there is an soloution for more room, i'll try that too.
but i don't understand what you mean how to change the metal lever. do you have an pic of your mod, or some more explanation?

@arroxfive: why no governer? i think even for hovering and beginning the gov will be fine.
maybe it's possible to put a small washer between the lever and the frame to get more room?
lucky guy, maiden your first rjx hover.. i'm a little bit jealous about that :-)

i'm still not sure about buying an CC 120 HV ICE with external CC BEC Pro or spent a little bit more money and get an Komtronik Jive 80 HV.
CC will be cheaper if you buy them at eBay USA, but Jive seems to be smaller, more efficient and less "flameable"
but i'm nearly sure to buy an scorpion 4035-500, Pyro 700-52 is to much money.

arroxfive, yes you are right, just turn around the metal lever on the outside of the frame and put the joinballs on the other side of it (Step 1-6 in the Manual). Then youīll get more room between frame and lever and you donīt need washers or anything like that. I can't do any pictures of it because I'm still running the stock 93T maingear and I think I don't change it since the jive is working well even at low throttle values. Hope itīs understandable now .

For the headspeed I wonīt go over 2000 rpm because itīs draining your battery very fast (althogh itīs fun to fly this monster then ). I think something in between 1700 and 1900 rpm is a good compromise between pure fun and battery life .

Itīs questionable if the 100T maingear makes sense with governor because you already have pretty high throttle values with the stock one.

arroxfive another idea: did you set up your endpoints propperly for your CC ESC? there are some videos at youtube how to do this.
if you don't do this like this, there is some "space" between full throttle at your radio and full throttle on the CC ESC.
you know what i mean? 90% at your transmitter is allready 100% at CC ESC if you don't do this.
i only heard about it but it sounds very logical. look at those videos.
same for kontroniks i think.

hi arroxfive,

govener is very easy... just set the speed and forget :-)
no difference to constant throttle, but the gov holds the headspeed correct if you put some pitch on your blades :-)

i think changing the direction of the lever is a very good idea! if you look from behind of the heli, you can see that the links are not exactly paralell to the frame (in case of my Savöx 1258 Servos).
So if we change the direction of the lever, there will be 1-2mm more space to the maingear and the links get more parallel to the frame.
only problem: i loctided my ball-links already to the lever *lol*

THX for the CC settings! I'll get my HV 120 + link in a week.
